Sandra Bates is the author and illustrator of Fantastical Animals Living in a Changing World A-Z, Be You! Be Flamazing!, and Gray-son's Quest. At age 72, Sandra got the idea for her first book while teaching herself watercolor during Covid. It was a way to de-stress in a stressful situation. The reader will enjoy colorful paintings of endangered animals as well as information on how these animals live and survive in a changing world. Her second book, Be You! Be Flamazing is a charming book full of flamingo watercolor images and follows Flo as she gains self confidence. The third book, Gray-son's Quest follows a young panda through a golden bamboo forest as he goes on a quest to find the secret key to happiness. All three books are hardcover to preserve the colorful illustrations created by the author.
